The Tifton Gazette
Faye Duckworth, 67, of Tifton died Saturday, December 11, 2010, at Tift Regional
Medical Center. Memorial services will be held at 3:00 p.m. on Tuesday, December
14, 2010, in the Chapel of Bowen-Donaldson Home for Funerals. Elder John S.
Mikell and Rev. Joe Lumpkin will officiate with burial to follow in Tift
Memorial Gardens with the Tifton-Tift County Fire Department serving as Honor
Guard. Honorary pallbearers will be the Tifton-Tift County Volunteer
Firefighters. The family will receive friends on Tuesday, December 14, 2010,
from 2:00 to 3:00 p.m. in the Chapel of Bowen-Donaldson Home for Funerals. 

Faye was born on December 17, 1942 in Tift County and was the daughter of Leon
Clements and Willie Wilson Clements, both deceased. She was also preceded in
death by one sister, Betty Hill Winegard; and two brothers, Leon Clements, Jr.
and Lee Clements.

She was retired as the Tifton-Tift County EMA Director and she was the Tift
County Fire Coordinator. She was a member of Mount Olive Primitive Baptist
Church in Tifton. 

Faye is survived by one son and daughter-in-law, Freddie and Dana Cheek of
Sycamore; three sisters, Jean Hilton of Tifton, Joyce George of Griffin and Sue
Benson of Tifton; and two grandchildren, Daniel Cheek and David Cheek, both of
Sycamore.
