HENDRICKS
The HENDRICKS family settled in Bulloch County,
Georgia, west of Statesboro. My last confirmed ancestor on that
line is Robert(or possibly W.M.)
HENDRICKS who married Nancy PARISH.
Nancy and Robert owned a fair
amount of land in the county, and had both been born in the county.
Their daughter, Mary Estelle, is my great-grandmother.
She was born in Bulloch County around 1875. This family left Ga. in
1888-89 for Arkansas, along with a number of otherHendricks'.
At least three of Estelle's brothers were
Doctors: Benjamin E. and John S.
(who practiced in Sevier County, AK) and Willie H.,
who was a doctor in Tifton, Georgia. From my research I have become
aware of a large settlement of possibly-related Hendricks'
in Bulloch County. At present I am trying to find the ancestors of
Nancy Parish (b.1840) andRobert Hendricks (b.1839).
Possibilities for the Hendricks line include:John Hendricks
(1804-1890) andElizabeth Hendricks b.1803
(both GA); Wiley Hendricks(b.1799 Bulloch Co.)
andCynthia Weathers(b. 1805 Burke County, Ga.)
Weathers{ Wiley's father is listed as Daniel
Hendricks who was born in North Carolina, and married there,
but died in Bulloch county where he had lived for many years. He
was of Welsh descent.)
