Archived Data
Many folks have contributed data to be placed on this site. This data is historical information about Tift County or its former residents. It is here for the use of anyone who has an interest in Tift County. The submitter holds the copyright on the material he or she contributed and the data is not to be copied except for the private use of the researcher. Any questions about specific files should be asked of the contributor and not the county coordinator. The contributor's email address can be found somewhere in the file, usually at the top. As a precaution for unknown future disastrous events, the data is stored on two different sites. One is the local county site and the other is the USGenWeb Archives. The data in both sites is identical. Feel free to use either one for your research.
Tift County Site
At the current time, the USGewWeb Archives are offline indefinitely. Leadership is trying to find a solution to get them back online. Please check back often to see what/when it's back up. The same info on the archives is also stored on the Tift County Site (link above).
USGenWeb Archives
Note: The USGenWeb Archives and the Tombstone Transcription & Photo Project are currently unavailable due to circumstances beyond our control. All of the valuable data is safely backed up while we work on a new solution to bring these features back online. Please check back for updates on the status of these projects.
