NOLAN posted by Ben Davis Nolan, III on Tuesday, August 25, 1998

Family legacy says my great-grandfather and his family owned a farm in Tifton, GA. The story goes on that the Nolan family immigrated from debtor's prisons in Ireland into Savannah. I think my great grandfather's name was Oscar Franklin (or Delmar) Nolan. His sons were Ben (my grandfather born in 1900, died in 1986), Bernard, Brown and Bartow. Daughters were all C's...Cleo and others. My grandfather lived most of his life in Mobile, AL. One of my great-grandfather's brothers (from England?)visited my great-father in Mobile in the 30's. I'd like to find out where the Nolan's came from and when. Any suggestions?
