d. after 1860 in AL) m. LEVI S. WHITEHURST on 31 Jan. 1849 in Barbour Co, AL.
It was a 2nd marriage for both Mary and Levi. Mary is said to have BANKS
relatives who lived in Tift Co, GA. Are there BANKS researchers who would like
to compare BANKS notes? Mary BANKS may have married lst a Mr. Smith in Tift
Co. Mary was said to be a friend or relative of Levi's first wife, whose name
was possibly Ann".

- NOLAN posted by Ben
Davis Nolan, III on Tuesday, August 25, 1998
- Family legacy says my great-grandfather and his family owned a farm in
Tifton, GA. The story goes on that the Nolan family immigrated from debtor's
prisons in Ireland into Savannah. I think my great grandfather's name was
Oscar Franklin (or Delmar) Nolan. His sons were Ben (my grandfather born in
1900, died in 1986), Bernard, Brown and Bartow. Daughters were all C's...Cleo
and others. My grandfather lived most of his life in Mobile, AL. One of my
great-grandfather's brothers (from England?)visited my great-father in Mobile
in the 30's. I'd like to find out where the Nolan's came from and when. Any
suggestions?
